# Odyn FAQ

> What Odyn does, which accounts it writes from, what happens when a hiring manager replies, pricing, the guarantee and data: short answers.

Odyn is the AI prospecting agent for recruitment agencies and independent recruiters. It finds companies that are hiring in your specialty, identifies the decision-maker for each opening, writes to them in your name by email and on LinkedIn, follows up until they reply, then hands the conversation back to you. These are the questions we get most, with short answers.

## What Odyn does

### Who is Odyn for?

Recruitment agencies, headhunters, executive search firms and independent recruiters who need new clients. It is not a tool for sourcing candidates, and it is not built to sell anything other than recruiting services: from the choice of job postings to the wording of messages, everything assumes a firm offering its services to a company that is hiring.

### How does Odyn find the companies to contact?

From published job postings. You describe your target (the roles you recruit for, locations, industry). Odyn watches new postings, keeps the ones that match and drops the ones no agency can work on, such as postings already published by another recruiting firm. The full approach is in [prospecting companies that are hiring](https://www.odynagent.com/en/resources/prospecting-companies-that-are-hiring).

### Who receives the messages?

The person who owns the hire: usually the founder or CEO at a small company, the head of the department at a larger one. Never a switchboard or a generic inbox. Odyn looks up their professional contact details. More in [finding the hiring decision-maker](https://www.odynagent.com/en/resources/finding-the-hiring-decision-maker).

### Are the messages templates?

No. Each message is written for the posting it targets: the role, the company, and your specialty. Odyn picks up your writing style, and writes to each decision-maker in their own language if you speak it, in English otherwise.

### Which accounts do the messages come from?

Yours: your work email address and your LinkedIn account. To the decision-maker, it is you writing, and their replies land straight in your inbox. Odyn only sends on business days, between 9 a.m. and 6 p.m.

### What happens when a decision-maker replies?

Odyn stops for that person immediately and never answers on your behalf. You take over the conversation. When someone accepts your LinkedIn invitation, Odyn suggests you give them a call.

### Do I have to approve every message?

Only for your first three business days: you read each message and edit it if needed, which lets Odyn match your style. After that it sends on its own, after the delay you picked.

### Can Odyn end up contacting my current clients?

Not if you put them on your exclusion list. Odyn contacts no company and no person on it. Anyone who asks not to be contacted again is not contacted again.

### Does Odyn work outside France?

Yes. A target can be a city, a region or a whole country, in France or anywhere else. Odyn writes to each decision-maker in their language if you speak it, in English otherwise.

### What is Push CV?

A beta feature. You upload the résumé of a candidate you want to place; Odyn anonymizes it and presents it to decision-makers at companies whose openings match. It is not a candidate search tool.

## Pricing and commitment

### How much does Odyn cost?

€290 a month per consultant, excluding VAT, no long-term commitment, for 450 decision-makers contacted per month by email and on LinkedIn. Paid yearly, €2,900. No success fee, no per-meeting charge. Details on the [pricing page](https://www.odynagent.com/en/pricing).

### How do referrals work?

Every customer has a referral code. A fellow recruiter who subscribes with it gets 10% off for as long as they stay, and 50% off their first month if they choose the monthly plan. You pay 10% less for each referral who is subscribed: half price at 5, nothing at 10. Details on the [pricing page](https://www.odynagent.com/en/pricing).

### Is there a free trial?

It starts with a [15-minute demo](https://www.odynagent.com/demo). After that, the 30-day guarantee works as the safety net: if you get no connection at all in your first 30 days (a written reply from a decision-maker, or an accepted LinkedIn invitation), your subscription is extended for free, up to two months.

### Does Odyn guarantee job orders?

No. Odyn opens conversations with decision-makers who are hiring. Whether they become job orders depends on your specialty, your terms and how those conversations go.

## Accounts and data

### Is my LinkedIn account at risk?

Odyn caps invitations per day and per week, ramps up slowly over the first six days, and counts the invitations you send yourself. The guide to [LinkedIn automation for recruiters](https://www.odynagent.com/en/resources/linkedin-automation-for-recruiters) covers the limits worth knowing.

### Where do the replies go?

To your email inbox and your LinkedIn messages, like any message you receive. Odyn detects them so it can stop following up, and you also see them in the app.

### What happens to the data of the people contacted?

Odyn only uses professional contact details, for a message directly related to their job: an opening at their company. Anyone who asks not to be contacted again is not contacted again. The [privacy policy](https://www.odynagent.com/en/privacy-policy) covers the rest.
