In short
lemlist is an outbound platform you build: contact data, email and LinkedIn flows, calls, and the settings that keep your sending mailboxes healthy. Odyn, the AI prospecting agent for recruitment firms, arrives assembled. It finds companies that are hiring, finds the decision-maker, writes and sends from your own email and LinkedIn account, and follows up until someone answers. So the question is less "which tool has more features" than "do you want to run an outbound machine, or receive replies from hiring managers?" A firm with someone to run the machine will find far more room in lemlist. A firm that only wants to talk to hiring managers does not need that room.

What lemlist does well
lemlist calls itself an AI-powered outbound platform, and its scope is wide. One flow can mix email, LinkedIn, calls, SMS and WhatsApp (the last as an add-on), with a shared inbox. The contact database is advertised at 600 to 650 million profiles depending on the section of the page, with email and phone lookup. Every license includes lemwarm and a deliverability dashboard that tracks the health of your mailboxes and domains. It integrates with Salesforce, HubSpot, Pipedrive and Attio, and says it is SOC 2 certified.
Then there is lemAgent, an assistant you talk to in plain language: it searches for contacts, proposes a strategy, writes messages and reads results. At each step you validate: the goal, the flow, the messages, the list, and the sender before launch. There is also a "company is hiring" signal agent. You enter job titles and locations, lemlist surfaces the matching companies at 100 credits per company identified, and you set a daily cap. The help-center article goes on to describe creating follow-up tasks; it does not say whether the agent finds the decision-maker or starts the sending.
The site speaks to sales reps, sales leaders, revenue operations and founders, and its FAQ mentions agencies. It does not mention recruiting firms.
What Odyn does
Odyn asks for no contact database and no flow. It starts from published job postings and keeps those that matter to a recruiting firm (the roles, locations and industry of your target). It then looks for whoever owns that hire, writes a message from the posting and your specialty, and sends it from your email address or LinkedIn account, on business days from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. The mailbox is yours: no domain to buy, no warm-up to configure.
Where lemlist has you validate each stage of a campaign, Odyn asks for your review only during the first three business days, while the tone is being set. After that it sends on its own, after the delay you chose, follows up, and stops as soon as a decision-maker replies. The AI prospecting agent guide covers the mechanics and the pricing page the cost.

When to choose lemlist over Odyn
Pick lemlist if you want one tool for all of your outbound, not only the companies that are hiring: calls, SMS, a contact database that goes beyond your specialty. Pick it if someone on your team enjoys building flows, watching deliverability and adjusting week after week; that is exactly what the platform rewards. And if your clients do not post jobs (a private equity fund, a CEO you approach for a retained search), Odyn's starting point, job postings, does not help you.
The Email plan also has a volume edge: 50,000 emails a month for all users, well beyond what a recruiting firm sends.
When Odyn fits better
Odyn fits when hiring managers are the only goal. A recruiter placing manufacturing leaders in Ohio does not need 650 million profiles. She needs to know which mid-size plants posted a plant manager opening this week, and to write before another firm does. Odyn does that search for you.
It also fits when email alone is not enough. In Odyn's messages, about as many decision-makers answered by email as on LinkedIn, but email replies were mostly refusals ("we hire in-house"), while LinkedIn drew about twice as many interested replies. These are trends measured over a few months, mostly on French job postings, which we re-measure every night. The recruiting business development email guide draws the conclusion: use both channels. In Odyn they come together by design. In lemlist you build it yourself, and that takes the Multichannel plan.
Whichever tool sends your email, US law treats it the same way: the FTC says CAN-SPAM makes no exception for business-to-business email, so an accurate sender, a postal address and a working opt-out apply. Other tools of this kind are compared in the comparison index.
Referrals: down to paying nothing
Every firm you bring in takes 10% off your subscription for as long as it stays subscribed. With 10 referred firms, Odyn costs you nothing. The firm you refer gets 10% off for as long as it stays subscribed, and 50% off its first month if it chooses the monthly plan.
Frequently asked questions
What would lemlist cost for a three-recruiter firm?
The Email plan is listed with unlimited users, at $69 a month ($55 billed yearly), but it covers email only. LinkedIn requires Multichannel, priced per user: three recruiters come to $261 a month billed yearly, $327 monthly, before data add-ons. lemlist's FAQ says pricing depends on the number of users. Odyn is billed at €290 a month per consultant, excluding VAT; for a firm with several recruiters, we go through it in a demo.
Do I have to manage deliverability with Odyn?
Odyn sends from the mailbox you connected, at the volume of a recruiting firm, during office hours. You manage no dedicated domain and no warm-up tool. What you keep is an address your clients already know: replies arrive in your inbox.
Can I keep lemlist for something else?
Yes. A firm can keep lemlist for phone prospecting or for a target that does not post jobs, and give Odyn the companies that are hiring. Just avoid having both write to the same person: add the contacts lemlist is already working to Odyn's exclusion list.
